SC&L was established in 2002 by Derek Saggers, with a primary focus of providing a specialist review of a mining company's Supply Chain, and to assist in improvement of purchasing and expediting, business processes and procedures, and the development and implementation of cost saving practices.

Since then, SC&L has provided these services and more to mines all over Australia and even in PNG, the Solomons and Turkey.
